To keep PeopleSoft current, the University need to upgrade to PUM Image 50 of PeopleSoft

Timeline

Testing will begin on April 21, 2024.  The goal is to finish testing by May 10, 2024.

Financial & Business Services Testing

Objective:

Testing PUM Image 50 upgrade addition to our Financial System is critical to the success of the Upgrade itself. Financial Services Technology Support would like contribute to this effort in order to make the process more effective and efficient. To that end, we would like to ensure that all functions of the system are tested. Additionally, we would like to facilitate a repository for all issues that we find and make certain all communication regarding testing is clear, accurate, and available.

Note:

  • The upgrade environment is FSTest.  Use FSTest credentials.

Test Checklist:

  • Is Application Navigation the same?
  • Does Application look the same? If not, what is different? Do the differences need to be modified or removed?
    • New fields
    • Missing fields
    • New Tabs
    • Missing Tabs
    • Different layout
  • Does Application produce the desired output?
    • Is the output correct, but the results are organized differently?
  • Do the U of U customizations function the same?
    • Did PeopleSoft introduce new functionality in these bundles that was not available in previously that could replace a U of U customizations/bolt-on?
  • Is there new functionality that would enhance our business processes in these bundles ?
  • Do we need to initiate training for any of these changes?
