The Utah Procurement Code provides that a procurement may be made without competition when the University determines that there is only one source that can reasonably meet the University’s need for the required supply or service, as described in Utah Code Ann. § 63G-6a-802.
The Purchasing Department has received the following request for sole source procurement:
Product and/or Service to be Purchased: Oxygen purchases for existing tanks at our locations
Sole Source Supplier: Linde Gas
Earliest Proposed Purchase Date: 7/2/24
Buyer Name: Brandon Colledge
Sole Source Justification: Linde Gas owns the bulk oxygen equipment that is installed on-site and no other vender will fill these tanks. With the ownership of the current equipment being Linde Gas this vender is the only vender able to fill the current on-site bulk oxygen system tanks.
This purchase will exceed $50K
