February 22nd Meeting Summary

Thank you for taking the time to attend our UShop User Group meeting on February 22nd.

Notes from the meeting can be found here – please let us know if you notice anything missing.

Future meetings will now be scheduled for two hours since in our two meetings to date, we’ve used all or more of the 90 minutes scheduled.

As we discussed, we plan to not follow the standard Proof Requisition renewal process for FY2017. These existing renewing PO’s will be handled either in UShop as a Declining Balance PO, or as a regular UShop Requisition and subsequent PO. In some cases it may make sense to have these purchases handled outside of UShop on a PCard.

We have begun to identify all existing Proof Requisitions for campus, and provided to each of you a copy of some of the proofs for your departments. Each of you will receive an electronic version of this document, which will also allow us to share this information with those who were unable to attend the meeting. We will work with you to determine how these should be handled for FY2017.

Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or concerns in the comments section below.

Welcome UShop Users

Why am I getting a message from this UShop User Group Blog?

  • Financial & Business Services has several blogs to communicate specific information about a particular topic.
  • This blog has been created specifically for the UShop team to communicate with the UShop user group.
  • While most FBS blogs have links from the FBS website so all can find the blogs, this blog is only available to the UShop user group.  No links will be published on the FBS site.  You will want to bookmark this page.

How will this blog coordinate feedback?

  • The Ushop team will communicate new information by posting to this blog. Each time a post is published, an email will be generated and sent directly to the group.
    • The posts will also be available on the blog page.
  • The comments section, below each post, is where the members of the user group should provide feedback.  Your feedback will be available to the entire group and others will be able to comment on your comment.  We hope the dialog will advise the UShop team for appropriate changes.
  • An Ask Us page has also been created for the user group to send comments or to ask questions directly to the UShop team.  Comments sent to the Ask Us page will not be public to the other user group members.

The UShop team is excited about this new partnership with the UShop User Group.
