Special Hurricane Precautions

As the East Coast is being  hit by Hurricane Sandy, travelers with trips planned for early this week should expect changes.

The travel industry, particularly hotels and airlines, are fairly flexible about letting travelers alter plans and issuing refunds when a hurricane — or any major weather event — hits.

The key is to stay informed.  Below are links that will let you know what is going on with the airlines and continual updates on the hurricane.  Many of you receive updates and notifications from the airlines.  Follow their links closely and if you are able to change or cancel your travel plans based on what the notifications are telling you it may be best to do so.

NOTE: Be sure to contact your booking agent or, if booked directly, the airline to request appropriate refunds by Friday, November 2.
