{"id":64,"date":"2014-11-18T11:40:10","date_gmt":"2014-11-18T18:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fbs.admin.utah.edu\/p2p\/?p=64"},"modified":"2014-11-18T11:40:10","modified_gmt":"2014-11-18T18:40:10","slug":"payment-request-process-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fbs.admin.utah.edu\/p2p\/news\/2014\/11\/18\/payment-request-process-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Payment Request Process Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the overall <a title=\"Procure-to-Pay\" href=\"http:\/\/fbs.admin.utah.edu\/p2p\/news\/2014\/10\/30\/formal-p2p-announcement\/\">Procure-to-Pay<\/a> changes underway\u00a0 <a title=\"Accounts Payable\" href=\"http:\/\/fbs.admin.utah.edu\/accountspayable\/\">Accounts Payable<\/a> has collaborated with <a title=\"Purchasing\" href=\"http:\/\/fbs.admin.utah.edu\/purchasing\/\">Purchasing<\/a> to align the requirements of the future UShop marketplace with current and future purchasing practices.<\/p>\n<p>This will affect the processing of Payment Requests received by Accounts Payable for an amount greater than $5,000, which may be reviewed by Purchasing and possibly redirected to a Requisition where appropriate. Reviewing these PR\u2019s in this way is important for two reasons:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the future UShop marketplace environment, these transactions will likely be routed through Purchasing.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"University Rule 3-100D \" href=\"http:\/\/regulations.utah.edu\/administration\/rules\/R3-100D.php\" target=\"_blank\">University Rule 3-100D<\/a> states that \u201c<em><strong>Requests for procurement of supplies and services between $5,000 and $50,000 must be submitted by organizational units to the Purchasing Department on a requisition.
