Lost and Found Overview
University Surplus & Salvage is designated as a central lost and found depository for the University. To locate lost property, check with departments in the area where the item was lost and/or the University Surplus & Salvage department.
To help in returning lost property, the University suggests students and others put their names on their possessions. The University encourages everybody to turn in any items they find to the nearest department office, collection point or to University Surplus & Salvage.
The University recommends immediately reporting missing credit cards, checks, driver’s licenses, and identification cards to the appropriate business or agency.
Lost & Found Property Forms
Use the Lost Property Inquiry Form to ask if a lost item has been turned in to University Surplus & Salvage.
University departments may use the Lost & Found Property Claim Form to track claimed property. Individuals claiming found property need to sign and give this form to the department when they receive their items.
University departments may use the Lost & Found Property Form (PDF) to record found property as it is turned into them.
