Federal F & A Cost Study – Upcoming Space Inventory / Surveys

WHAT ?
An explanation of the important role that the upcoming SPACE SURVEYS play in maximizing the F&A rates that will be charged to sponsors in future years. Also, an Overview of the University’s current efforts to negotiate new F & A (Facilities & Administrative) rates with the federal government. These F&A Rates apply for federal agencies and others that sponsor organized research on our campus.
WHO ?
Anyone interested in learning about the process and how they can help. Faculty, Principal Investigators, Researchers, Deans, Chairs, Staff, and Administrators involved in organized (sponsored) research on campus would all benefit from attending.

WHY ?
Increasing the current F&A “on campus” research rate (51.5% until June 30, 2018; then 52.5% until June 30, 2019) will take some effort. Much of our success in increasing the rate(s) will be dependent on identifying and maximizing the space on campus identified as “research space” (buildings, labs, etc.). This session will help attendees understand how they can help.
