The prevalence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) continues to increase. ASD is characterized by persistence with sameness, routine, or pattern, atypical patterns of processing sensory information from the environment, and impairment in social interactions and communication skills (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). These characteristics affect the dailylives of children with ASD, but also professionals they interact with.
To better understand the experiences that health care professionals are having with patients with autism, we are conducting a Health Care Professional Flyer (e.g. pediatricians, nurses, medical techs, CNAs, receptionists, phlebotomists, etc.).
We are interested in your perspectives on challenges and supports for your patients with ASD. Please complete the following anonymous survey.
