Crucial Purchasing Changes – Training Opportunities

The January edition of the Momentum newsletter briefly explains about changes occurring to the State of Utah Procurement Code which will result in some changes to University policy and business practices. As some of the changes apply to both those who make purchases as well as those who participate in the procurement process such as making purchase or award recommendations, etc., the following are invited to attend one of these sessions: buyers, administrators, all administrative support staff who may be involved with a procurement, those who have delegated purchasing authority such as custodians of Limited Purchase Orders or PCard holders, etc. Classes are scheduled for February and March

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE LOWE’S HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES CONTRACT

STATE CONTRACT NUMBER MA087

As of July 31, 2012 the temporary bar code will no longer work when making a purchase at Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores. You must obtain your permanent discount card from Lowe’s.

On July 31, 2012 the temporary bar code that has been available on the state purchasing web site that you have been using to get the 5% discount on Contract #MA087 at Lowe’s Home Improvement Store will expire. Please visit the Lowe’s web site to obtain your permanent discount card. You can access that from the State Purchasing website or go directly to the site at www.lowesforpros.com/wsca and follow the process. The contract number is MA087. Select the State of Utah and then your respective agency or political subdivision. Lowe’s will send you your permanent use customer discount cards.
